I was late for consti revision, and after spending two hours with my orgmates, I went to oral interp practice which lasted almost 7 hours. It was exhausting. I just got home from Pantas finals. Our adviser fed me dust (figuratively) for attacking subtlety. It was, on my part, a blow because I could not defend my observation. I just felt that the absence of one element is tantamount to a weakness in the narrative, which is, in that case, actually its strength. But I could not present a concrete example of the writer's fault.

"You can't expect the writer to spoon-feed the reader," he said.

I know that quite perfectly. I should be careful next time.

I'm struggling with schoolwork, juggling three or more meetings each day plus writing assignments and org stuff in the evening. My left eyelid is swollen and I don't know why it is. I have to stay here 'til Sunday morning. More work will come after the weekend, so I'm not so sure if I want the weekend to come around fast this time. I guess it would be fitting if I say that the only thing that keeps me going is the thought that after a while, I would be getting my diploma. It's a matter of time before I get back at the people who used to think I'm stupid that's why I settled for a Communication course. Quite the contrary...

I discovered that with the right amount of light, my phone's camera's pretty okay.

I'm stifling my giggles as I am writing this because I am thinking about how childishly silly I am when it comes to new places and things, like this blog. I frequent them, or frequently use them. I've been writing here since I created this new space, like how I am when I have a new planner, or journal, or whatever (except for girly shoes and girly dresses. I try not to overuse them).

I should be reading the 2007 Revised TV Code, but I don't know how I'm supposed to finish it in time. I can't sleep but I don't want to read. I don't even want to memorize the poem (by Percy Bysshe Shelley) that we are going to perform this afternoon. I hate Oral Interpretation, actually. I'd rather do 2 years of Creative Writing than one semester of Oral Interp. I am actually quite disgusted at myself after performing Sa Poetry by Rolando Tinio. It sucked big time. The worst part of it is I'm bad at memorizing stuff. I can't even memorize Paul's number (and now Mars has a new number which I still haven't memorized. Took me months and my cellphone incident back in 2008 before I knew her mobile by heart).

I'm just mumbling because my body's on zombie mode.

It's the start of summer. I can feel it.

Last Thursday, I went out with Ica, Lemon and Kevin. It was the first time in a long while that I went out with friends. It was well worth it. I've been restraining myself from having fun for too long. I am so good at punishing myself.

They picked me up at around 11, and we proceeded to LB Square. In retrospect, I guess it was perfect timing. There was an event at Java Ave so the Square wasn't all that full. I like drinking when there's not too much people around. After a margarita (yeah, girly drinks make me tipsy), I was already red as a tomato. It was almost 2 am, and the bar was closing. Closing Time by Semisonic started playing in my intoxicated head. Funny, I remember telling Ica just that.

We proceeded to a store near the Square. Bought some more drinks and chips, then we went to my dorm. We sat outside the building, on the steps. I never thought it would be that much fun to stay there. We talked about a lot of random things. It felt great being inebriated but not anywhere near barfing. My tongue was a little loose and I remember singing Kevin's Alphabet Song. It goes like:

Anyway.

Last Thursday was my official summer kick-off drinking session.
Today, I made a new blog.
I still want to be here tomorrow, and the day after that. And the day after, and after, and indefinitely after. I want to live. I want to live even if sometimes I want to die.

I was rummaging through some groceries, looking for a late-night snack when I found this. I didn't eat it of course (haha, but I was close to chugging it down). I wonder how life would be after college, when the cramming for an exam or paper would be a thing of the past.

I took a handful of photos that day but this one's my favorite. It's like walking back to a not-so-long ago past. Things have changed (A LOT), but a few things never do. I miss the old X4 days.

Ash Wednesday. I'm still thinking of what to give up, because I have been a very, very irreverent and lukewarm Catholic and I want to repent. I'm thinking of sacrificing Facebook for 40 days but I don't think I can. Haha.
